Energy security is national security
Almost everyone on stage agreed that energy security is national security. They did not agree on what energy security means. The same phrase pointed to renewables in Europe, to oil and gas exports in the United States, to interdependence among Gulf producers, and to grid resilience in Asia.

When a fifth of the world energy supply is disrupted, it really reinforces that energy security and energy resilience, whether short, medium, or long term, are the same conversation, and you can't really have one without the other. We're only able to weather today because of the long-term decision making behind the building of all of those buffers.
